The assessment of cancer danger of productions is one of ways of management of work conditions and prevention of occupational cancer in workers. Purpose. To assess the cancer danger in the processing branch of industry. Materials. Assessment of occurrence of exposures of workers of the processing industry to cancer agents of groups I and IIA, determination of probable target —organs, where the occurrence of malignant tumors can be expected. Results. It is determined that the priority production cancer factors in the processing industry are: 1) wood dust (9,6 % of workers), natural (solar) and UVR (9,2 %); 2) silicon dioxide (crystal) (7,4 %), nonorganic compounds of lead (7,4 3) radon-222 and daughter products of radon decay (DPRD) (6,9 %), formaldehyde (6,7 %), compounds of chromium VI (6,6 %); 4) nickel of its compounds (5,3 %), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (benz [a]pyrene) (5,3 %), strong nonorganic acids (4,7 %); 5) perchloroethylene (3,6 %), diesel exhausted gases (3,5 %), sterol (3,5 %). The high rates of morbidity of malignant tumors are expected in workers, in particular that of: lips, pharynx, stomach; nasopharynx and sinuses, larynx, bronchi and lungs; skin; eye and its appendages; urinary bladder; leukemia. The obtained data make it possible to develop scientifically grounded and purposeful measures of the primary and secondary prophylaxis of occupational cancer in workers of the mentioned industry.
