Work conditions and carcinogenic risks in the production of acidic metal-containing azodyers (riazolans) have been analyzed. It has been found that workers engaged in riazolan production are subjected to harmful influence of chemicals, some of which are proved to be carcinogenic for human beings. The use or formation of the most harmful for human health carcinogenic azodyers (4-aminobiphenyl, 2-naftalamine, benzedene) in the technological process have been revealed. In the process of epidemiological cohort analysis (during 20 years) no malignant neoplasm, characteristic of the influence of carcinogenic chemicals, used in the riazolan production were found in target organs.
