PHYSIOLOGICAL AND HYGIENIC ASSESSMENT OF WORK CONDITIONS FOR OPERATORS OF MODERN DIGITAL TELEPHONE COMMUNICATION

The study of work conditions and physiological indices of the body functional state and temporary morbidity rates in opera¬tors of digicom in affiliations of DP «Utel» of VAT «Ukrtelecom» was carried out. To main factors of the work environment that do not meet hygienic standards can be referred noise (78-93 dBA eq.), high air temperature (24,2-26,2°C), in most cases, intensity of work (175-300 sound and visual signals per one hour), poor concentration of aero-ions of positive and neg¬ative polarities. The levels of magnetic induction of 50 Hz at workplaces, equipped with liquid-crystal (LC) video - display terminals (VDT), made 0,1 -0,4 mT; at workplaces equipped with VDT with electron-beam tubes (EBT) - 0,5-1,08 mT, on average. According to Hygienic Classification of Work HN 3.35—3.3.8; 6.6.1-083-2001 work conditions of these operators correspond to classes 3.1—3.2. The study of peripheral arterial blood pressure (ABP), pulse rate, biological age and index of aging shows that ABP (systolic) level tends to increasing to 5 mm.Hg, on the average in operators using VDT with electron- beam tubes (P<0,1) and the rate of their aging is 3,0 years more than in those working with liquid-crystal video — display ter¬minals. The use of liquid-crystal video — display promotes improving work conditions and effect positively the functional state of operators of modem digital telephone communication. In light of the obtained results and basing on the data of the world literature the hygienic standard for magnetic induction of industrial frequency for users of personal computers and VDT requires further improvement.
