Introduction. Health protection is referred to such kind of economic activity, where there is available a high risk of cancer hazard for employees. There is recorded a decrease of morbidity of malignant neoplasm among workers of this branch. Purpose of the study. To optimize volumes of supervision over the state of health of medical workers, exposed to cancer substances at work place.

Materials and methods. An analysis of standard-legal base of Ukraine on regulation of volumes of medical examinations of workers and their permit- to- work has been made. There have been grounded volumes of medical supervision over the state of health of medical workers, based on international recommendations and on the results of earlier conducted scientific studies.

Results. There have been proposed new approaches to: (1) periodicity of medical examinations; (2) rational provision of participation of doctors-specialists in such examinations; (3) volumes of main laboratory functional and other researches; (4) list of absolute and relative medical contraindications for permit-to- work.

Conclusion. The obtained results make it possible to approach volumes of medical supervision over the state of health of medical workers, exposed to cancer substances and agents at workplace, to international standards and ILO recommendations and to decrease risks of morbidity of medical workers on occupational cancer.
