Toxicological properties of organic riazolan red 2ZH dye in single and repeated peroral administrations, skin and eye mucous applications as well as in acute experiments on experimental animals (rats and mice) were investigated.It was found that LD5Q for rats in intragastric administrations amounted to 11757 mgr/kgof the body weight; the dose of 5000 mg/kg was not lethal for mice. The most animals died within one day after administration of the substance. The found cumu¬lation coefficient equaled to 6.06 (Limela|).In repealed peroral administrations (5 days a week, during 28 days) and single administrations (4 hours in concentration of 535,6 and 180.2 mg/m3) of riazolan red 2ZH some behavioral changes (mink reflex, activity in the closed space), STI, periph¬eric blood decrease in the content of erythrocytes, hemoglobin), blood serum (decrease in activity of AIT and ChE) respira¬tory rate were found. The tendency to changes in the activity of animals in the closed space was observed under the concen¬tration of 43,7 mg/m3. The data received allow to consider the concentration of 43,7 mg/m3 riazolan red 2ZH as the one close to the threshold (Limac).Gonado- and embryotropic effect of this dye (in peroral administration) was not expressed. Mutagenic properties (on the marrow cells) was not found.
