EVALUATION OF EFFECT OF EXPOSURE TO ASPHALT FUMES ON WORKERS SKIN IN HOT-MIX ASPHALT PRODUCTION AND PAVING (PUBLICATIONS REWIEV)
Institute for Occupational Health of AMS of Ukraine, Kiev
Full article (PDF), RUS
In this article a short review of publications about effects of asphalt fumes on the human skin in production and using hot¬mix asphalt is presented. By now, it is unable to provide final conclusion on risk of carcinogenic diseases among workers in this workplaces. Also not enough data are accumulated to provide procedures for assessing risk of dermal diseases in the air of workplaces.
Key words: asphalt fumes, bitumen, carcinogenicity, health effects, occupational exposure, skin wipes, dermal exposure, photoderinatitis
