Introduction. Considering a high level of automation in the production process at metallurgical works, the impact of unfavorable microclimate, noise, dust, and other factors at an operator’s work place has a significant negative effect on the state of health, including considerable increase in risk of development of cardiovascular diseases.

Purpose – to estimate the general state of health and risk of development of cardiovascular diseases in operators of tube-rolling mills and to substantiate preventive measures.

Materials and methods. Materials and the results of health studies are presented; risk of occurrence of cardiovascular diseases in operators of the automated tube-rolling mill has been determined.

Results. Operators work in poor working conditions. The intensity of their work relates to II–III and III–IV Classes of harmfulness. In operators with strained work there have been recorded a higher risk of development of cardiovascular diseases. Conclusion. In operators of the control panels with higher strain work there have been stated significant changes in daily AT, indicating a probability of development of greater risk of hypertension in future.

Key words: operators of tube-rolling mills, work conditions, daily monitoring of blood pressure, risk of cardiovascular diseases
