HYGINIC STANDARDS OF TRANSFLUTRIN IN THE AIR

The insecticide transflutrin belongs to synthetic pyrethroids by its chemical structure. The parameters of this insecticide toxicity have been established for laboratory animals in their entering through respiration, gastrointestinal tract and skin. The NOEL for peroral and inhalation administrations in conditions of subacute and subchronic experiments; the NOEL in studies of chronic toxicity and delayed effects have been determined. The threshold of carcinogenic effect (10 ppm) has been established, taking into account the degree of hazard, risk of development of the general pathology under the effect of this substance. TSELs are recommended for hygienic regulation of transflutrin for the working zone air: 0,4 mg/M3 and 0,01 mg/M3 — for the atmospheric air.
