Full article (PDF), UKR
20 healthy men-volunteers, aged 26—43, have been examined. The examination included six experiments with one week interval. The volunteers were proposed to do perceptional and cognitive tests at work with computer video monitors, simu-lating the operator’s work. The efficiency of mental work was estimated. At the same time, changes of indices of the cerebral blood circulation, variability of heart rates and blood pressure were recorded. Also, ranges of homeostatic reactions of the cerebral hemodynamics and variability of heart rates were determined. The indices of the data on the functional systems, received in the process of testing, were compared with indices of corresponding homeostatic rates of reactions. Such method-ological approach helps to determine the degree of correspondence of human psychophysiological abilities to the operator’s work, with due account of individual mechanisms of adaptation to work of the cognitive type.
Key words: professional ability of a man-operator, mental work, individual adaptation
