The generalization of the literature data was perfonned concerning associations of separate genetic markers of gene poly-morphism with the changing body sensitivity to work environmental factors and risks of developments of some occupational diseases. It was concluded that new and important scientific results in occupational medicine are supposed to be received bas¬ing on studies of the polymorphism of protein body systems using a polymerase chain reaction method. This will allow to sig¬nificantly broaden scientific approaches to individual primary prevention of occupational disease development through sci-entifically grounded professional selection.

Key words: gene polymorphism, individual sensitivity to diseases, multifactorial diseases, occupational diseases, polymerase chain reaction
