Introduction. Rescuers who directly engaged in actions related to rescuing miners, irefighting, eliminating the consequences of explosions, sudden emissions at mining enterprises, work in specific atypical working conditions. The control of the degree of emotional stress in mine rescuers at workplaces is performed during certification of workplaces and psychophysiological examination according to certain indicators. The problem of studying the dynamics of some psychophysiological indicators in main workers of mine rescue services in the inter-accidental period in the regime of day and night shifts during the service remains urgent.

The purpose of the study is to determine the peculiarities of changes of psychophysiological indicators in workers of mine rescue (emergency rescue) services, depending on the mode of operation: day / night duty.

Materials and methods of research. The hygienic assessment of the degree of neuro-emotional stress in mine rescuers was made by the intensity of the work process based on the results of certification of 62 workplaces of main employees of the paramilitary mine rescue detachments. The psychophysiological state of the rescuers was studied using subjective methods: the SAN test (well-being, activity and mood), and the scale of reactive (situational) anxiety according to C. Spielberger - Y. Khanin  210 respondents in total) at the beginning and at the end of the day and night 12 - hour shifts.

Results. It is found that, in general, during day and night shifts, the psychophysiological state of mine rescuers worsens according to the indicators of the SAN test, and the level of reactive anxiety increases at the end of shifts (statistical significance), especially after night shifts.

Conclusions. After a 12-hour day and night duty, the functional state of  rescuers worsens, manifested as the changes in subjective psychophysiological indicators - decrease in the assessments of well-being, activity and mood with predominant changes in mood assessments at the end of the shift, and increase in the level of reactive anxiety. The functional state of the body by indices of the emotional load during night shifts in mine rescuers is associated with more pronounced, compared with daytime shifts, adverse effects, which is manifested by a significant decrease in SAN indicators and higher values of reactive anxiety indicators.

Key words: mine rescuers, functional state, reactive anxiety, indicators of health, activity and mood.
