SPECIFIC REACTIONS OF THE HUMAN BODY ON THE EFFECT OF ACOUSTIC INFORMATION

The audiograms of operators of geophone for coal-mining enterprises, characterizing the main function of perception and processing acoustical information, have been analyzed. The peculiarities of the fixed (FDT) and temporary (TDT) threshold shifts, depending on age and professional experience, were studied as well. It is found that the difference between the obtained audiograms is in more expressed decrease of acoustic sensitivity in the speech range in comparison with a high-frequency one. The operators with 5—9 years of experience showed the best results in the hearing function. In our opinion it is due to for¬mation of the functional system for processing low-energy but significant information signals.
