TO THE PROBLEM OF CRITERIA DEFINITION IN OCCUPATIONAL PSYCHOLOGICAL SELECTION OF HEADS FOR HEALTH INSTITUTIONS

Criterion-significant indicators of professionally important qualities among candidates for a position of Head doctors, which should to be considered when developing a model of occupational psychological selection for a specific position, are presented in the paper.


Purpose. To define criteria of occupational psychological selection of candidates for a position of the Head doctor and Deputy Head doctor on the basis of the complex studying peculiarities of the individual and psychological status, direction of activity, type of the interpersonal relations, style of adoption of administrative decisions.

Methods. Pilot psychological study of a profile of individual accentuation, type of the locus control, rate of development of emotional intelligence and its components, type of interpersonal relations, style of adoption to administrative decisions, direction of the activity.

Results. Differences of individual and psychological status, type of the locus control and interpersonal relations, style of adoption to administrative decisions in groups of Head doctors and their Deputies have been established. The profile of personal accentuation of Head doctors and their Deputies is identical with peaks of accentuation according to emotive, hyperthymic and rigid types. In the group of Head doctors a significant prevalence of partial intellect — “self-motivation” was established on the background of mean values of the general emotion intellect, prevalence of individuals with internal locus control, a reliable orientation on "tasks". In the group of Head doctors significant higher octant values by rectilineal — aggressive type
against peaks in the profile of the interpersonal relations of octant values for responsible (VIII), cooperating and conventional (VII), imperious and leading (I) types. The revealed peculiarities show the peculiarities of style in adoption of administrative decisions in the group of Head doctors (autonomous and marginal styles) and in group of Deputy Head doctors deputies (situational and connivance style).

Conclusions. Grieron-significant indicators of rates of occupationally important qualities among candidates for a position of the Head doctor, which should to be considered when developing a model of occupational psychological selection for the specified position, are peculiarities of individual and psychological status (accentuation according to emotive, hyperthymic, rigid types, a "self-motivation" level of development, internal locus control), peculiarities of types on interpersonal relations (octant values by rectilinear and aggressive types against octant peaks in the profile of interpersonal relations by responsible and generous, cooperating and conventional, imperious and leading types) and orientation of activity on "tasks".
