TOXICOLOGO-HYGIENIC SUBSTANTIATION OF SAFE APPLICATION OF CONDENSED ANHYDROUS AMMONIA IN AGRICULTURE, USING AUTOMATED COMPLEX BLU-JET LAND RUNNER II

Toxicologo-hygienic substantiation of safe application of condensed anhydrous ammonia in agriculture, using the automated complex “Blu-Jet Land Runner II” has been carried out. Ammonia, by its toxicometry parameters, can be referred to the category of dangerous substances, being a strong irritant of skin, mucous membranes of eyes and the respiratory tract, cause weak sensitizing and cumulative effect. It is found in the hygienic studies that the content of ammonia in the working zone and atmospheric air does not exceed hygienic standards. It is concluded, that modern technology of introduction of this fertilizer into the soil, under keeping to instructions on use and safety requirements at works with ammonia, can minimize the risk of its adverse effects on operators at different stages of the production process. The condensed anhydrous ammonia of grade B for the GOST 6221-90 is recommended to application in agriculture as a highly concentrated nitrogen fertilizer (N-82 %) for introduction into the soil in cultivation of a wide range of agricultural crops.
